How to Create and Join Verses

You have the option to either create your own private Verse or join an existing one. Our Metaverse is accessible through a web browser, making it compatible with various devices, including desktops, mobile devices, and virtual reality (VR) headsets.

Create a New Verse

To create your own personal Verse, you need to go to our XR Editor. You can see our dedicated section on how to create a verse and how to publish it on our XR Editor.

  • Go to the XR Editor: This is where you can create your personal Verse.

  • Create a New Project: Publish it to access your own private Verse.

Join an Existing Verse

If you want to participate in an already established Verse, you have two options for joining:

  1. Use a URL: Navigate to the specific URL of the Verse in your web browser. If the Verse is public, you will be able to see it on the landing page.
  2. Use a Numeric Code: Enter the numeric code associated with the existing Verse. This is especially handy when you try to enter via a headset.
  3. Join Public Verses: Click "Join Verse" on our landing page to join public Verses.

Enter a Verse

Before entering a Verse, you are in the Verse’s lobby. You can see and hear what's going on in the scene, but you can only interact with others using text chat. The process of entering a Verse is a bit different depending on your device.

On Desktop / Mobile

For desktop and mobile users, click "Join Verse" to select a username/avatar and make sure to set up your microphone and audio settings.

On a Standalone VR Headset

If you opened the URL on your desktop or smartphone, choose "Enter on VR" in the entry screen to create a code that makes it easy to open on your standalone headset (e.g., Oculus Quest, Oculus Go, Samsung Gear). To see in more detail how to enter oin VR, see our dedicated section.

This code will be entered in the respective metaverse/link page and you will be automatically redirected to the Verse. Please note that numeric codes expire after 72 hours.

On a Wired-in VR Headset

To use a desktop VR device with your headset, the Oculus app (Oculus Rift) or SteamVR (Windows Mixed Reality, Vive) must also be open.

On your computer, click "Join Verse" and follow the prompts to select a username/avatar and set up your mic. On the final prompt before entering, you should see an option to select "Connected VR Headset".
