Description

In the same section, you can modify the Verse description. This description will appear in the info panel for users to see. The description can be up to 1,000 characters long.

Member Limits

Verses are designed to hold a maximum of 50 people. However, for optimal performance across devices, the default capacity is typically set to 30 users. An unlimited number of individuals can observe from the lobby, even when the Verse is full.

Users in the lobby can observe everything happening in the Verse and, if chat functionality is enabled, interact with others. When the Verse reaches capacity, enabling "Streamer Mode" allows the moderator's view to be broadcast to the lobby, allowing more users to participate in the experience.

Verse Access

By default, Verses access is set to "Shared link" mode, where Verse links contain unique, random identifiers. Sharing this link will give anyone access to the Verse. By default, Verse access is set to "Shared Link" mode, where the Verse link contains a unique, random identifier. Anyone with the link can access the Verse.

Alternatively, you can switch to "Trustworthy" mode. This mode generates a unique invite link that is required for access. If visitors use the URL or the invite link from the info panel, it will not work unless it's the one copied from the Invite Link.

Please Note: If you want to return to "Shared link" mode from "Trustworthy" mode, keep in mind that "Shared link" mode is less restrictive. It allows users with previously revoked invite links to regain access to the room. To prevent this, it is recommended to keep the room in "Trustworthy" mode.

Verse Moderation/Permissions

You can manage user permissions in the Verse, such as allowing or restricting the ability to create and move objects, create cameras, pin content, draw with the pen, create emojis, and fly. By default, all these features are enabled. To adjust permissions, go to "Settings" and modify the permissions under the scene settings.

Voice & Chat Restrictions

To maintain a focused experience, you can restrict voice and text chat, allowing only moderators to speak or send messages. To enable this, go to the settings page and disable the voice and message chat options.

Enable Tour Portals

You can create an immersive experience by incorporating portals that allow both the host and other users to travel to different Verses together. By enabling the "Tour portals" option, you ensure that all participants will move from one Verse to the next.

  1. If you have a link to another Verse, you can copy/paste the link of the Verse in the scene or see other options to link rooms inside the metaverse.

  2. Go to the settings of the scene, open the Advance Settings dropdown, and enable the Tour Portals option.

  3. Click on any portal created in the Verse to take other users with you.

  4. To create a tour, ensure there’s a portal in the other Verse that allows users to return to the original scene.

Remember: Both Verses need to have "Tour Portals" enabled to ensure smooth transitions.

Add a Portal

By pasting the link of another Verse into this input field, you can create a 2D view sidebar with interactive portals. Once the link is added, additional fields will appear, allowing you to add more Verse links.

Moderators & User Management

Promoting Moderators

As the Verse owner, you can promote other trusted users to moderators. These users will have the same control as the owner, including the ability to expel users, rename, and close the Verse. To promote someone, select the user from the Participants list and click the "Host" button.

Note that users need to be signed in to be promoted.

Moderator Tools

Aside from all the options described before, moderators have the following additional tools:

  • Expel Users: To temporarily remove a user from the Verse, open their settings and select "Expel."

  • Hide Users: To hide a user from the Verse, open their settings and select "Hide."

  • Mute Users: As a moderator, you can mute users if they are causing disruptions. Disable the microphone option in their settings to mute them.

Streamer Mode

"Streamer Mode" broadcasts the moderator's view to the lobby, allowing users who have not entered the Verse to see what is happening from the moderator's perspective. To activate this mode, select "Lobby Cast" from the tools menu.
